This Scholarship is NO LONGER AVAILABLE AS OF AUGUST 30, 2023 available to any 1st Semester college freshmen student who is either a graduate of George Washington Carver High School of Montgomery, AL , a member of Day Street Baptist Church of Montgomery, AL, or a member of Lilly Baptist Church of Montgomery, AL.

This annual award is in memory of Mrs. Leola B. Marsh and rewards students that have similar interests as she did. There is no minimum ACT or SAT score requirement. A student may be granted the award only once and only one scholarship is given per year. The deadline for submission of all application materials is October 15, 2012. The winning applicant will be announced by December 15, 2012. The award for 2012 is $1,000.00.
